EA have released details of the next installment of their Battlefront franchise, called Battlefield 1 and will be released on October 21 this year. If you have an EA Access you can play it 3 days earlier on October 18, also the deluxe version will also allow you to play on the 18th and will be released to Xbox One, PC and PS4.

Battlefield 1 is set in World War 1 and includes new elements to the game such as tanks, bi planes, horses, flame throwers and Zeppelins along with 64-player multiplayer which contains trench battles, battleships and improved close range melee combat. This what I have been waiting for, we’re going back to WWI.

In campaign mode, you travel through the Deserts of Arabia, Italy, and France, among other areas and looks like they are aiming for realism.

EA seem to teaming up with Microsoft with the release of Battlefront 1 as release material supplied was plastered with Xbox One logos.
